contract list of Team India senior women. 17 women cricketers got BCCI
contracts. These 17 are divided into three grades (Grade A, Grade B and
Grade C). “The BCCI has announced the annual player contracts of India
Senior Women for the 2023-24 season,” the Indian Cricket Board said in a
statement. However, the BCCI has not disclosed the salary details for women
cricketers. The names of the players have been announced for only three
grades.
Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana
and all-rounder Deepti Sharma are on Grade A contracts. It is remarkable
that BCCI has assigned top grade only to these three. As per last year Rs.
50 lakhs as annual salary. But this time it seems that there are chances of
salary increase. Renuka Singh, Jemima Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Richa Ghosh
and Rajeshwari Gaikwad have been given Grade B contracts. There are five
players in Grade B. Last year Grade B players got Rs. 30 lakhs paid.
BCCI has given place to 9 people in grade C contract. Sabbineni Meghna,
Anjali Sarwani, Meghna Singh, Devika Vaidya, Pooja Vastrakar, Sneh Rana,
Radha Yadav, Harleen Deol, Yastika Bhatia are in the Grade C contract list.
Last year the annual salary of the persons in this grade was Rs. 10 lakhs.
It is known that the BCCI officials have agreed that the match fees for men
and women will be paid equally. But the wages are very different. For Male
Top Grade A+ Category Rs. 7 crore salary. BCCI announced the annual
contracts of the men’s team last March.
