distribution was taken care of by the producers. Therefore, if there was a
loss, the producers had to bear. I have seen many people who sold their
houses and farms to pay off their debts. When I saw such people, I felt
scared. I wanted to be more careful.”

He recalled “I have also seen losses. But in the case of NTR’s film
‘Shakti’, the budget went out of hand. The film did not perform well.. and
thus there was a loss of 32 crores. It is not a common thing to lose 32
crores due to a film. It took me a long time to recover from that shock.”
