Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had a close shave on Saturday when his steamer boat collided with a pillar of the JP Setu during inspection of Chhath ghats situated on the bank of river Ganga in the state capital here. All aboard the steamer boat including the CM are safe.
After the accident, all onboard including the CM were immediately transferred to another steamer boat for inspection of the rest of the Chhath ghats.
Accompanied by the state’s water resources minister Sanjay Kumar Jha and many senior officials, Nitish boarded the steamer boat at Nasriganj in Danapur area and began inspection of the Chhath ghat on the bank of Ganga.
