Senior military officers from Ethiopia and its troubled Tigray region have
agreed to form a joint disarmament commission and allow unimpeded
humanitarian access to the area.
The commanders have been meeting in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, since
Monday. On Saturday, they signed an accord calling for all military

sides have pledged to safeguard civilians and ease the flow of humanitarian
