India’s First Hockey Test Against Australia Ends in a 4-5 Loss, Despite a Hat Trick by Akashdeep Singh

India’s 4-5 loss to Australia in the first hockey Test of their five-match
series on Saturday was despite Akashdeep Singh’s hat trick, as the Indian
team conceded two late goals in the game.
India’s Akashdeep Singh scored three times (10th, 27th, and 59th), while
their captain Harmanpreet Singh scored on a penalty corner in the 31st
minute.
Lachlan Sharp (5th), Nathan Ephraums (21st), Tom Craig (41st), and Blake
Govers (57th, 60th), who scored twice from penalty corners in the dying
minutes of the game, were the goal scorers for Australia. On Sunday, we’ll
play the second game of the series.
