An officer with the Gurugram police claimed on Monday that they had
detained a 36-year-old carpenter suspected of frequently raping his
15-year-old daughter over the previous three years. The defendant was
brought before a city court and sent to judicial detention. The incident
was reported to the Bajghera police station, where the suspect was
apprehended late on Sunday. According to the Class 8 student’s allegation,
her father sexually attacked her while intoxicated around three years ago
when he found her alone at home. Then, he allegedly threatened to murder
her while he sexually shot her multiple times.
