Today, Akhilesh Yadav, leader of the Samajwadi Party, made an “open offer”
to Keshav Maurya and Brijesh Pathak, the two deputy chief ministers of
Uttar Pradesh, to “bring 100 MLAs and become chief minister of the state.”
“The state is led by 2 Deputy Chief Ministers. They are both eager to find
a path to the position of chief executive. We’ve come with an offer: in
exchange for 100 MLAs, you can become prime minister at any time, and we’ll
be right there with you, “Akhilesh Yadav, leader of the Samajwadi Party,
declared. The SP candidate in the upcoming byelection for Rampur will have
Akhilesh Yadav, Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad, and Azam Khan all on
the dais together pleading for votes. The by-election will take place on
December 5.
