Delhi is Safety 2024’s destination.

The World Health Organization Collaborating Centres in India will hold the
15th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion in Delhi,
India, from September 2nd to 4th, 2024.

Self-inflicted wounds, motor vehicle accidents, accidental drops, fires,
and drownings account for a large portion of India’s 1.4% annual injury
rate.

The Indian government is attempting to alleviate this problem by creating
India’s first comprehensive approach to preventing injuries. It is also
expanding its burns program and creating a national strategy to reduce the
number of snakebites.
