ACCESS Health collaborated with the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation
and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement to strengthen the public and
private Indian healthcare system’s ability to enhance patient care
sustainably. We collaborated to create India’s first-ever professional
development program for improvement advisors. March 2015 marked the start
of the first session of the 10-month program. Twenty-two participants will
undergo training to become skilled leaders in quality improvement. Twelve
classroom hours are required to complete the Improvement Advisor Program,
and they are spaced out over three sessions. Every month, participants will
meet online to discuss and complete assignments related to a predetermined
technical topic. Each student will implement a quality improvement project
at their respective healthcare organisation over the course term.
