Legendary former athlete and Rajya Sabha member PT Usha has been
nominated to the panel of vice-chairperson of Rajya Sabha in India. PT
Usha, an athlete from Kerala state was picked by BJP led centre as Rajya
Sabha member and also offered panel of vice chairperson of Rajya Sabha.
Announcing the decision, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar said, “This is the
first time a nominated member has been appointed in the panel.” He further
added the athlete got first time opportunity. Along with her, YSRCP member Vijai Sai Reddy has also been nominated.
