If dietary intake does not compensate for what is lost, your bones will
lose calcium over time, which will lead you to the risk of developing
osteoporosis, experts cautioned.
One has to take enough calcium of at least 1,000 mg per day either from
their diet or supplements to have strong bones. “However, too much calcium
can also cause issues such as constipation, gas, and bloating. Extra
calcium may also increase the risk of kidney stones.In rare cases, too much
calcium can also cause deposits of calcium in your blood. This is called
hypercalcemia,” as per the study.
