Veteran singer Vani Jairam was found dead at her residence in Chennai at
the age of 78. Police officials and confirmed her death. She was conferred
with the Padma Bhushan award for this year. The police are yet to reveal
details on the cause of her death.As preliminary information, the house maid of Vani Jairam found she had
not opened door on Saturday morning. She alerted police and broke up the
doors found that veteran singer was with injuries on face. Though, she was
shifted to hospital, doctors said she brought dead.
