balls with 3 fours) took the wicket. It is remarkable that Smith was clean
bowled by Jadeja at the beginning of the third session. The Tom and Jerry
fight between Smith and Jadeja continues. For the third consecutive time in
this series, Smith has been included in Jadeja’s pavilion. That ended the
partnership of 79 runs for the second wicket. Smith attempted a flatter
delivery off side by Ravindra Jadeja. He failed to predict the ball and was
clean bowled. The ball took the edge of the bat and dropped the wickets.
Team India broke the big partnership with this wicket.Indian fans are happy about Smith’s exit. They are commenting that Hammaiya
Jiddugadu is out. Remember that Smith is not a very dangerous batsman and
will explode with centuries on a flat wicket like this. All in all, Jadeja
is credited with giving India a good break through. It is being commented
that the Indian players as well as the fans have breathed a sigh of relief
after Smith’s exit.
The openers Travis Head (32) and Usman Khawaja gave a good start to the
Aussies who won the toss and went into bat. Ashwin dismissed Travis Head
after adding 61 runs for the first wicket. Shami Pavilion added Labushen.
After that Smith came to the crease… Usman Khawaja led the innings
forward. These two proved the patience of the Indian bowlers. Usman Khawaja
completed his half century in 146 balls.. Smith (38 batting) stood by him.
The Aussies ended the second session with a score of 149/2.
At the beginning of the third session, Smith was out. Mohammed Shami clean
bowled Peter Handskob who came to the crease. A good length delivery from
Shami lifts Scomb’s half-wicket. Aussies scored 170 runs at the end of the
fourth wicket. When Cameron Green came to the crease… Usman Khawaja was
attacking the Indian bowlers and heading towards a century.
