India’s Nitu Ghanghas and Saviti Boora won gold for India in the Women’s
World Boxing Championship finals. In the final match of the 48 kg category,
boxer Nitu Ghanghas of India defeated Lutsaikhan Altantseg of Mongolia 5-0
to give India the gold medal.
After that Savity Boora won the 81 kg category final match against
China’s Wang Lina to give India its second gold medal in the Women’s World
Boxing Championship.Although Neetu Ghanghas’ fight against Mongolian pugilist Lutsaikhan in the
48 kg category looked like a one sided war, the boxing battle between
Savity Bura and Wang Leena in the 81 kg category continued to be fierce. In
the end, Savity Bura took a slight lead and won by 4-3 in this thrilling
battle. Even though the victory was between the two until the end.. Wang
Lina had to bow before Bura’s boxing punch.
