The Andhra Pradesh government has announced the second phase of admissions
under the Right to Education (RTE) Act for the academic year 2023-24. Under
the RTE Act, 25% of the seats in private schools are reserved for children
from economically weaker sections and disadvantaged groups. The application
process for the second phase of RTE admissions will commence on May 16,
2023, and will be open until May 30, 2023. The government has advised
parents to apply for admissions through the online portal and has also set
up help desks in all district education offices to assist parents in the
application process. The government has also directed private schools to
ensure compliance with the RTE Act and to reserve the required number of
seats for eligible students.
