The government of Andhra Pradesh, under the leadership of Minister Gudivada
Amarnath, has unveiled a plan to boost the number of subscribers to the
Andhra Pradesh State FiberNet Limited (APSFL) to 50 lakhs. APSFL is a
state-owned telecommunications company that offers high-speed internet,
digital TV, and voice services. This ambitious initiative aims to provide
affordable and reliable connectivity to a larger portion of the population,
bridging the digital divide and promoting digital inclusion. By expanding
the subscriber base, the government envisions enabling more people,
especially those in rural and remote areas, to access the benefits of
digital services, e-governance, education, healthcare, and entrepreneurship
opportunities.
