Choreographer Chava Chaitanya (31), who became popular with the dance show
Dhee, committed suicide in Nellore on Saturday night. Chaitanya has been
working as a dance master in the Dhi show for five years. In this order,
on Saturday evening, they participated in the World Dance Day organized by
the local Kalanjali Cultural Society and received a dance award.
Later they rented a room in Nellore Club Hotel. In this order,
they took a selfie video on Saturday night saying that they were committing
suicide due to debt. On Sunday morning, the hotel staff got suspicious and
informed the Dargamitta police when the door was not opened. When the
police reached the hotel and looked from the window of the room, they saw
Chaitanya hanging from the fan.
When the door was broken, Chaitanya was already dead. On the
complaint of Chaitanya’s uncle Malyadri who resides in Danalakshmipuram,
the Dargamitta police shifted the body to GGH mortuary for postmortem and
are investigating the case.
