Director Gunasekhar recently made interesting comments in this
order.He said that Samantha was not considered for the role of Sakunthalam
in the movie Sakunthalam, but after watching the movie Rangasthalam, he
approached Sam for this role. Gunasekhar said.. “The pre-production work of
this film took a year. We thought six months for shooting. But it took 81
days. After that, we completed the post production work for a year and a
half. So it took me three years to prepare this film.
