The Telangana High Court has issued an interim order directing Megastar
Chiranjeevi not to undertake any construction on the land purchased in the
Jubilee Hills Housing Society. Ordered to maintain status quo in disputed
land. J. Srikanth Babu and others approached the High Court alleging that
Jubilee Hills Society had sold 595 square yards of land to Chiranjeevi. The petitioners alleged that since the Greater Hyderabad Municipal
Corporation (GHMC) did not have control over the land, the society violated
the rules and sold it to Chiranjeevi. It was brought to the attention of
the court that Chiranjeevi’s structures are also included in the purchased
land.
