Director Gunasekhar directed this movie based on Kalidasa’s Abhijnana
Sakunthalam. It stars Samantha as Shakuntala and Dev Mohan as Dushyanthu.
Also, Prakash Raj, Mohan Babu, Allu Arha, Sachin Khedkar, Ananya Nagalla,
Kabir Bedi, Varshini, Harish Uttaman and others are playing key roles.
Sam recently posted a video on social media. In this, she shared five
interesting things related to Shakunthalam movie. ” I am allergic to
flowers. But for this film, I got rashes after wrapping flowers around my
hands and neck. The bubbles looked like tattoos. They remain for six
months. But during the shooting, I covered them with make-up so that they
are not visible,’ said Sam.
Samantha dubbed herself for her character in Shakunthalam in Telugu, Tamil
and Hindi languages. She said that it was very difficult.. Even in sleep,
the dialogues came in her dreams. Apart from that, a rabbit bit him during
the shooting of the film. There were many rabbits on the set.. but one bit
her.. she didn’t like that rabbit.. it wasn’t cute, said Sam (laughing).
Samantha told the truth that the hair seen in Shakunthalam movie is not
original.
Samantha said that the lehenga she wore for a song in Shakuntham movie
weighed 30 kg. She said that she was very troubled by this. It was
revealed that the camera man shouted loudly as the lehenga shifted from the
frame due to the weight of the round. She recalled the experiences of
shooting the film that everyone on the set laughed as she said, ‘I am not
going.. the lehenga is pulling me.’
