and skin. Strictly speaking, ‘necrotizing fasciitis’ is an infection that
eats away the tissue. This rare infection spreads very quickly. Spreads
to most parts of the body within hours of infection. Bacteria such as
Group A Streptococcus, Klebsiella, Clostridium, Escherichia coli,
Staphylococcus aureus are responsible for this. These are called ‘flesh
eating bacteria’. Streptococcus bacteria is the most dangerous in this.
Drainages, their contaminants and unsanitary hospital environments are the
homes of these ‘flesh eating bacteria’. At many places, drainage water
directly flows into rivers and streams. In such a place, the water in them
is used for crops. Because of that, there are more chances of infection
for those who work there. Blood vessels are also damaged due to bacteria.
This stops the blood supply. Due to this, the tissues and the parts of the
body that need the blood supply are also damaged
If the infection gets infected, small boils and rashes will appear on the
skin immediately. It is accompanied by sweating, vomiting, fever and
severe pain. Due to the fact that these bacteria multiply very quickly,
the symptoms of infection increase within a few hours. Swelling occurs in
the infected area. Gradually, the skin and underlying tissue turn black.
There is extreme pain.
Chemicals released from infected parts spread throughout the body through
the circulatory system, damaging other organs as well. Due to this there is
a risk of the victim even going into a coma. If this infection is
detected.. surgery should be done immediately and the infected part should
be removed.
It is not possible to restore the damaged parts after infection. In this
treatment, the skin is removed from other parts of the body (especially the
thighs) and is placed in the removed area. There are victims of this
infection all over the world.
