Low-density lipoprotein (LDL): This is the “bad, unhealthy type of
cholesterol. LDL cholesterol builds up in your arteries. It forms fatty,
waxy deposits called plaques.
High-density lipoprotein (HDL) – This is the “good, healthy type of
cholesterol. It transports excess cholesterol from your arteries to your
liver. It removes it from your body.
