BJP MP Anil Firojiya is in the news for all the good reasons. Encouraged by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari’s promise that his ministry would allocate Rs 1,000 crore per kilogram of weight lost for developmental work in his constituency, the BJP parliamentarian from Madhya Pradesh has lost around 32 kg.
While addressing an event in Ujjain in February 2022, Gadkari, had promised Firojiya to provide Rs 1,000 crore funds for development work for each kilo lost.
“I lost almost 15 kg of weight in lieu of development in his constituency after Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari challenged him to give Rs 1000 crore for development work in his constituency for each kg lost. “I accepted the challenge and I have lost almost 32 kg”, Anil Firojiya said.
The BJP MP said that If his weight loss could bering in more funds for Ujjain, then he would continue with his exercises to lose fat.
“If weight loss brings more budget allocation for Ujjain, I am ready to continue my fitness regime for the development of the constituency,” the BJP MP said.
The BJP MP said that he met Gadkari on October 14 and the Union minister approved Rs 2,300 crores for developmental work for Ujjain after hearing about his weight loss.
“I met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and told him and he was very happy to know about it. As promised, he has approved development plans worth Rs 2,300 crores for the region”, Firojiya said.
