In his first papal visit to Bahrain, the Pope promotes dialogue with Muslims.

In the kingdom of Bahrain, where the Sunni-led administration is organising
an interfaith conference on East-West cohabitation despite being accused of
discriminating against the Shiite majority there, Pope Francis is bringing
his message of dialogue with the Muslim world.

Francis has been encouraged by human rights organisations and the family of
Shiite activists who are currently facing execution to use his visit, which
gets underway on Thursday, to demand an end to political persecution and
the death penalty in Bahrain. It’s unclear, though, whether Francis will
publicly humiliate his hosts during his four-day trip, which is the first
by a pope to the Persian Gulf island nation.
