Seizures totalling more than Rs 375 cr have been recorded so far in
Karnataka since enforcement of the model code of conduct (MCC) in the tate,
said the Election Commission (EC) onTuesday.
The recorded seizures in the state mark a significant 4.5 times increase as
compared to 2018 Assembly polls, the Commission said in a communiqué.
According to the poll panel, till May 8, out of the total seizures includes
cash Rs 147.46 crore and liquor worth Rs 83.66 cr.
Elections to the 224 member Karnataka Assembly will be held on May 10. The
results will be declared on May 13.
The Opposition Congress is eyeing to return to power. The BJP is hopeful
that it will retain power.
