A woman at the age of 62 has been given a second chance at life thanks to the tiniest cardiac pump in the world.

With the help of the world’s smallest heart pump, the Impella Device,
doctors at Viveka Hospital performed high-risk protected angioplasty on a
62-year-old woman with multiple comorbidities, including diabetes, thyroid
disease, high blood pressure, diabetic polyneuropathy, and three stents in
her heart.
