appointment as the permanent Governor of West Bengal on Thursday, November
17, 2022. It further stated that his appointment would become official when
he began working in his new position.

“The President of India is pleased to appoint Dr. C V Ananda Bose as
regular Governor of West Bengal,” the communiqué said.
Since July of this year, Manipur Governor La Ganesan has also been acting
as the Governor of West Bengal when his predecessor, Jagdeep Dhankhar, was
nominated as the BJP’s vice presidential candidate.
