The President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, J.P. Nadda, has accused the
Trinamool Congress (TMC) government of destroying democracy in West Bengal.
He has also stated that the BJP will work towards bringing a change in the
state. Nadda’s statement comes after the TMC won a landslide victory in the
West Bengal assembly elections, winning 213 seats out of the 294-member
assembly. The BJP, on the other hand, won 77 seats. Nadda has alleged that
the TMC indulged in violence, booth capturing and rigging during the
elections. He has also stated that the BJP will fight against the alleged
atrocities committed by the TMC government in the state.
