within the North Bramhapuri forest region.
Last month, a tiger was spotted crossing the enlarged Nagbhid-Bramhapuri
highway. This month, the deputy conservator of forest in Bramhapuri, Dipesh
Malhotra, confirmed that it was the same tiger. Since June of this year, it
has been linked to four human deaths. The most recent human victim of a
forest mauling was Jagan Panse, who was attacked on November 5 near
Lakhapur.
