Region felt some light quake shaking today. Vibrations were reported in the
neighboring cities of Delhi, including Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurgaon. City
dwellers in tall buildings felt the shivers the greatest. As a measure of
safety, several residents of the high-rise communities left their houses.
The epicenter of the 5.4 magnitude earthquake was located 212 kilometers
southeast of Joshimath in Uttarakhand, Nepal. Three days after a
6.3-magnitude quake epicenter in Nepal killed six people in the neighboring
country, the region rocked again around 7.57 pm. Nepal has been rocked by
its third earthquake in the past week. As of right now, no reports of
damage have come in. We’re waiting for more information.
