Mitchell Starc performed superbly in Saturday’s second one-day
international between Australia and England at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Australia’s defense got off to a great start thanks to left-arm pacer Starc
as they faced a total of 280 for 8 from the Three Lions. On the second ball
of the visitors’ innings, he bowled out Jason Roy, and on the fifth ball of
the over, he bowled out Dawid Malan.
While Roy’s ejection was regrettable, Malan’s resulted from a deadly
delivery from Starc.
The left-arm pacer delivered a decent length ball at 146 kilometers per
hour. Malan looked to push the ball to his leg side, but it swung outside
to square him up and smash his off stump
