Kieron Pollard, one of the most accomplished players in T20 cricket, ended
his playing career in the IPL on Tuesday after 13 seasons with the league’s
dominant Mumbai Indians.

The 35-year-old planned to play for a few more years but ultimately decided
to leave the IPL after speaking with the five-time champions.
In 189 games, Pollard has scored 3412 runs in the IPL. He made his MI debut
in 2010. He will serve as the team’s new batting coach, so his close
relationship with the franchise will continue.
