A Nepal court on Thursday released cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane on bail,
more than three months after he was arrested on rape charges, officials
said.A joint bench of the Patan High Court judges Dhruvaraj Nanda and Ramesh
Dhakal decided to release Lamichhane on bail of Rs 2 million, reversing the
decision of the Kathmandu district court, according to the court officials.
The cricketer was facing charges of rape over a complaint by victim and
was arrested. After three months of judicial custody, he got bail.
