Punjab Kings got the upper hand in another battle in IPL. Punjab team won
by 13 runs in a high voltage match where more than 200 scores were
recorded. Chasing a target of 215 runs, the Mumbai team scored only 201
runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs.
Punjab Kings bowler Arshadeep Singh has shown effective performance. In
the last over, Mumbai Indians need 16 runs from 6 balls to win. Left arm
seamer Arshadeep Singh, who came to bowl at this stage, turned the match
towards Punjab with his excellent bowling.
In this over, Arshadeep took two wickets in two consecutive balls and
broke the middle stump twice. First, Tilak Verma (3) was clean bowled by
Arshadeep. Arshadeep gave only 2 runs in that over.
At one stage, looking at the innings of Mumbai Indians, it seemed
that they would win this match easily. Opener Rohit Sharma scored 44 runs
while Cameron Green scored 67 runs. At the other end, Suryakumar Yadav also
played furiously. Surya scored 57 runs off 26 balls. But the situation
changed when Cameron Green and Surya came out.
Even with Tim David (25 not out) at the crease, Arshadeep Singh
eventually made the war one side. In total, Arshadeep Singh took 4 wickets.
Nathan Ellis 1, Liam Livingstone 1 wicket.
