Indian cricket is under heavy criticism after their squad lost to England
by 10 wickets in the 2022 T20 World Cup semi-finals. On Thursday, India
lost to eventual champion England after being unable to defend a score of
168 runs. They are now one year further away from winning the ICC because
of this defeat. The last ICC trophy India won was the Champions Trophy in
2013, which MS Dhoni captained. There was reason to believe that things
could turn out differently this time around thanks to Rohit Sharma’s
leadership. There really wasn’t enough time.
