Congress leader and former Member of Parliament, Shabbir Ali, has described
the party’s win in the recently concluded by-elections in Telangana as a
“stepping stone” for the Congress party’s revival in the state. The
Congress party won the Huzurnagar assembly seat by a margin of over 22,000
votes. Shabbir Ali, who is also the president of the Telangana Pradesh
Congress Committee’s (TPCC) minority department, said that the Congress
